Steeler fans "get it"
The fans of the johnny-come-lately teams don't "get it"
The petty fans who hate the Steelers because they are the best will never "get it"
I'm amused every year at the fans of the team du jour (Titans this year) who live for their team being compared to the Steelers.
How cool is it that every year the "surprise team" like the Titans this year and the Browns last year get a woody because they are mentioned in the same sentence as the Steelers?
It's not about winning a game against the best, it's about being the best; not for one game or even one season, but for decade after decade.
It's not even about winning multiple Super Bowls during a run of incredible dominance, it's about being competitive year after year, decade after decade, while having your own runs of dominance mixed in!
It's not about showing up the best by stepping on the towel, it's about being a family of winners (the Steelers and their fans) year after year, decade after decade!
It's not about getting your turn with karma, it's about setting the bar for karma!
It's not about your prima donna players gelling for long enough to win some big games, it's about a city, an owner, a team, and it's fans creating a nation which is the standard by which all others are judged!
God it's great to be a Steeler fan!
