I received this bottle as a gift about a year ago and I decided to give it a whirl since it has been staring at me all this time from within it's fancy wooden box. I'm really not a fan of the Glenlivet flavor but it is usually my go to scotch when there is no Mac at hand when I'm out. I do have to admit this 21 is very smooth and even though the over all flavor puts me off a bit I did enjoy it. A good balance of wood, nut and a sweetness that actually ties everything together but doesn't over power. I did a search and found it seems to be retailing for $145 and IMHO I'd much rather drop that money on a bottle of Mac 18 but that's just me.

While I like the 21 I can get 2 of the Glenlivet 18's for the same price so I haven't replaced my last bottle. At some time I will get another but there are so many others trying to take my cash

I hear you on that one and I have found the bottles that are taking my cash keep getting more expensive. I'm in negotiations now on a 1979 & 1980 Mac 18 Gran Resrva package. Really want those in the collection.

They are going for a pretty penny. I had an '81 that I must have finished 5+ years ago. I don't even have the box any longer.

I liked it just fine and thought that is was al close as one would get to the 25 without paying the price. However, with the standard 18 being near 90+% ot the 25 to start with it was a lot to pay to get to 95% of the 25 if that makes sense.
