Not doing a full review, so thought I put my thoughts on these 2 freebies found in threads here.
The Davidoff Zino Platinum Grand Master Robusto 5 1/2 x 52 (retail about $13, actual cost $2 shipping). My cigar came without the mold that some people have recieved. Mine looked ok except for a small hole (posted a pic and was told it wasnt a beetle hole).
I found this cigar very boreing and bland. It was mild to medium, but lacked any flavor other than what I can discribe as very light pepper and nothing else. They claim to use 4 year aged leafs, but that and the price is the only thing it has in commen with a Padron 64's that are the same price range. If this was a blind test, I would have said it was a $1 yard gar and nothing more.
The Gispert Robusto 54 x 5 from the $6.95 6 count sampler, was a much better cigar than the Davidoff, no matter the price. It was a medium smoke. The first inch was a nice peppery flavor that turned to less spicy more nutty and slightly creamy (ok, thats an old cliche) flavor. It did go out about 3/4 through and became rough on relighting, so I let it die
Not sure on the retail on these, but certainly a good cigar.
