CigarPass is capable of doing some really cool things that many of you probably don't know about. One really useful feature is called RSS.
What is RSS?
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.
Why RSS? Benefits and Reasons for using RSS
RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually. You ensure your privacy, by not needing to join each site's email newsletter. The number of sites offering RSS feeds is growing rapidly and includes big names like Yahoo News.
I recommend using FireFox to view CigarPass. You can get firefox from http://www.getfirefox.com It's a free browser, and is known for being safer and more secure than IE. You can also setup an RSS reader for IE, if that's your preference.
Once you have FireFox installed, you can install an add-in called "Simple RSS Reader". Once installed, you can set it up to alert you of the latest topics in the forum. Let's say you want to keep track of all the latest topics in the Review forum, or the Hot Deals forum, you can simply select the forum, and while you're browsing other websites, you'll be alerted of new topics as they are posted.
A lot of webmail providers offer free RSS readers as well.
Make use of this great feature, as it will definitely help keep you up to date as to what's going on at CP!
