This is my first review so hang in there with me.
Fuente Fuente - So good, they named the cigar twice!
Do we have to have a reason to celebrate? I decided to celebrate life this evening with a good choice from my humidor.
I opened the humi, stuck my head inside and took a deep breath as I usually do to take in the aromas. Which stick deserves celebrating life. A glass tube answered me and out came the celebrity.
I popped the black cap, removed the first little piece of sponge. I then tapped gently and out popped the cigar with the second sponge. What happened to the cigar, I asked myself, it looks smaller then 7 x 48 out of the tube. That was the last negative thought. The smell of the cigar lit up my taste buds as I examined it for a few minutes.
The anticipated cut was clean and exciting. The Rosado wrapper glistened as I put the cigar to my lips and lit up cautiously. The light was uneventful and so began the journey.
The draw was absolutely amazing, as though there were a hole from head to foot. The first 1/4 inch had a slight pepper taste tingling my gums. Then a dramatic change which I describe as smooth and earthy. I was smacking my lips together taking this in.
Halfway through the cigar I got into the jacuzzi with my wife, something we do now and then in winter. Suddenly another change, I got a sweet taste followed by a spice, just can't put my finger on what spice. Jane poured me a Bailey's which I was reluctant to drink at first. Then I thought, what the hell, lets see what happens to the cigar taste. It got better if that is possible. I guess the creamy texture of the Baileys enhanced the smoke. At one point Jane started laughing. I said, what's up. She tells me that I look so relaxed smiling from ear to ear. I was engrossed, it didn't occur to me that I was holding my hand out of the water for 40 minutes.
All in all a very pleasant experience and a wonderful smoke. The secret stuff they put in the tube obviously keeps the cigar at a perfect RH. The burn was perfect from beginning to end, the draw was flawless. .
