Just picked up 3 of the 2004 Platinum Edition Prometheus DVD sets and was wondering if everyone is keeping them in the glass tubes to age? Also to anyone that has smoked one, I am curious what you thought of it. I have heard a range of reviews. I might break into one this evening.

They are yummy. I keep (kept) them in the glass (and regular ones in the cello), but that's just me - I like them pure ;)

Now, where did you get them?

I have a friend that owns 5 shops and I took the sets he had left. I have been so caught up in my cuban collecting I neglected to ever ask about the FX. Had a friend bring me back a BBMF from Vegas and I loved it so I made it a point to get a small rare Fuente collection started.

Just seems they would not get the benefits of fresh air and other elements that aid in the proper aging of cigars.

Some take the cap off and leave them in the tube. If nothing else, at least this way they are protected from being torn, etc. when you dig around or move things.

Heh, I just PMed that link to the fairy fancier :p (after ordering a couple myself first, of course ;) )

(Yes I know, I just lobbed an easy one up for cletus to smack out of the park  )

Love 'em. Have 5 sitting and resting and getting better!! I will wait for a better time.

If you like the flavor profile of an aged Opus then you will love the Forbidden X. They are very similar to the Serie X 2, which is also a well aged Opus. I store them in their tube with the cap on.

In the tube caps on. I seem to have a problem keeping these around.
I would give alot to see these things sold individually.

It would be even better if they were still being made. ;)
