I was doing some reading the other day on reviews of the different Frog Morton blends, and stumbled upon something interesting. The origin for the name of this tobaco (Frog Morton). Needless to say there are many odd names of pipe tobaccos that I can't figure out. Frog Morton is a small town that resides in "The Shire". Of course the J.R.R. Tolkien fans out there recognize this, but just in case. "The Shire" is where all of the "Hobbits" reside in the J.R.R. Tolkien novels "The Lord of The Rings". At the end of the review it stated that they found it most enjoyable to smoke this particular tobacco while reading "The Lord of The Rings". So Tonight I decided to do just that, since I have been meaning to read them anyway. I grabbed my Boswell Author, and packed a bowl of Frog Morton On The Town. The experience is quite the journey. I will definately be doing this more often (especially in my slow times at work). So if you get the urge to sit down and read for a while, I suggest giving this venture a try. Now I am back off to pack a bowl of Frog Morton Classic, and read a few more pages before I go to bed. Just thought I would share the experience.
