Aren't you the fake retailer?
Aren't you the fake retailer?
We're a real cigar store in Florida. A few guys on this board just have a problem with our Fuente prices (which we are not an authorized dealer for so we sell them higher than msrp).

Well Hot DAMN! Since you are answering questions, what about the rumors you scan Cigar Boards for e-mail address for your spam mail.... :whistling:
And it's not the fact that you rip off people who don't know any better, it's also that you came on this board and even said you were here just to stir shit up.
No apology, no answer to the spam e-mails. Don't blame us.

I don't really think that's why you sell them higher than msrp. You stated once before that since you are not an authorized dealer you don't get that at the same price. But as a service to your customers, since you're such great people, you carry them. But you have to mark them up higher than msrp otherwise you'd be losing money. Welcome to Customer Service 501 (yes, apparantly this is a graduate level course).
Today's lesson, how not to gouge. So let's pretend that there is a cigar that customers of your store really want, but you can't carry or are not an authorized dealer. However in an effort to not lose those customers to other stores that do carry those cigars, you decide to go ahead and get some of those cigars via some other means, even if that means getting them by paying retail at another store. So now you have two options. You can offer those cigars at, perhaps, a very slight markup so as to cover your costs involved in procuring said cigars. Or you could be a jackass and offer them upwards of five times msrp, in an effort to squeeze even more money, i.e. acting like a gouger.
Have I made my point yet?

You made your point to an extent.. I really don't mind hearing what people think. Now let me ask this, Do you know what area of South Florida our shop is in? Average income around here is $250,000+. Average home price is $350,000+ and thats usually for just a townhouse. Our typical customer doesn't care about price and unfortunately most Internet customers do... The customers I do have, they are happy with the service I provide. And just a note, YOU have no idea what I do for my customers or did your friend tell you...

Your shop is in Pompano Beach, FL, right? US Census says that last time they recorded MEDIAN HOUSEHOLD INCOME in Pompano Beach, FL it was $36,073. How the hell did it jump to $250,000? So you gouge because you say you can? Not the type of retailer I'll deal with.
Also, try living in Los Angeles where the cost of a small condo is $500,000 +. Your stat's are a bit off...
