All told, I'll just just over $1k in it shipped to my door.  It's going to be a rough 2 weeks waiting for the shipper to pick it up and get it to my place.

Great score; a really solid price for that humidor.  Take some pics once you get it all stocked up.

Well done brother! Hope the shipping goes without issue...

Beautiful cabinet...!!  Might want to consult with Bob about a humidifier upgrade, new wicks for sure.  Other than that, you're in for the very best in cigar storage.  Congrats...!!

Thanks.  I think I may go ahead and upgrade to the newest system.  The seller said it was working until they emptied it last year when her husband passed, but think I'll put in a new system to ensure years ahead of reliable service as the humidor was built in 2003.  I think the I'll be on vacation less than a week after it arrives, so I figure it'll provide even better piece of mind that it's being seasoned while I'm away.

That said, I'm a bit more inclined to to with the AccuMonitor system from Avallo though.  For the cabinet size (~22 cu ft from my calculation, I can get 4 canisters and 4 circulating fans rather than the single humidifier/circulation fan that comes with the Set it and Forget it system for $50 more.

Dunno....I think I'd go back to Bob and trust his advice.  Nothing wrong with the Avallo....but, Bob knows his stuff.  One man's opinion.....

Maybe I'm a little biased as I have a custom, cooled Staebell that's worked flawlessly for years.....

I did email Bob and he evidently offers a $50 discount towards new systems, so I'm going to do that. Very nice offer since I explained I was buying the humidor used.

Nice humidor. I think you will be very happy with it. I really like the wood that was used.

I love my Avallo! And they are very similar to each other. How many canisters and fans come with the set an forget?

It depends on what setup you want. Typically this humidor would come with a 1.5qt unit, but that doesn't mean you can't add another if you so desired.

I know that its the same with Avallo. I'm asking him in regards to what he is getting from Bob.

Mine came with a single 1.5Q unit and came in today.  I haven't looked at the wiring and such, but I'll be quite pleased if I can use the fans from my Hydra system in with this.

Humidor arrived today via my uship reverse auction.  I was more than estatic to believe I could get that big of a cabinet shipped 590 miles for under $200.

I installed the new set it and forget it system and it's up and running.  It's gonna be torture waiting for it to get seasoned before filling it up.
