Forbidden X Storage Question

I picked up a couple of Opus DVD sets and am wondering about the optimal storage of the 2 Forbidden X cigars in each pack. Are you experts laying these beauties to sleep in the glass tubes, meaning you are putting the sealed glass tubes directly in your humis or coolidors, or are you removing the cigars from the tubes first?

Also, beside my humidors I also have a coolidor to store boxes. I am keeping the humidity at 65% to 70% in the coolidor by means of a moistened clay brick. That's about the same % as in my humidors, but in the humis the cigars are out of their boxes. Any thoughts as to whether the humidity in a collidor containing sealed boxes (some still in the plastic wrap) should be higher?

Thanks for the tips.

Store the cigars in the tubes for maximum enjoyment in the years to come. Store your sealed boxes at around %65. Almost always they are stored higher than %70 at the retailer. So storing them at %65 will keep them good for many years.

I try for 67 to 70 but thats just how i prefer. anywhere between 65 and 70.I try to store long term stuff in the70 range and day to day in 65+. For the opus i take the lids off and leave them in the tube.

that's a good question, marito. one I'd love to know the answer to, myself.

one thing I've been wondering about, as I'm currently in the process of setting up a coolidor for box aging purposes, is that in deciding between 65% and 70% beads (since beads will be my humidifier of choice), what would happen if I were to put in one container of 65% and then one of 70%?
would they balance each other out and stay at or around 67%-68%?

hmmm...

(no threadjack intended. just a thought for those of us who like our humidity somewhere between 65% and 70%)

Great question about the Forbidden X's. Going to "pop the tops" on them tonight.

Currently storing everything (domestics& ISOMs) at 65-67%.
As far as the glass tube, I crack them lose and put them right in the bottom of the humi.

I'm a top popper.
I've got some glass tubos (Henry Clay's) and just remove the corks and place them (the cigars, not the corks, wise asses!)in the humi.
