Nestled deeply in Fuente factory #1, behind a massive steel door, is the Opus X aging room, where thousands of Opus X lay in various stages of aging, awaiting their day to be labeled, boxed, and shipped out to retailers.

Inside of the Opus aging room is the Forbidden Alcove, where a number of the wilder creations lay. Here are a few pictures:

Some pretty funky stuff there. There are only a few pictures on the web page, but they are all very high resolution. Click on a photo to see the high resolution version of it.

Thats just sick. Let me in the room for an hour and I will see what kind of dent I can put in the stash. :D

Great, how I have to clean the mess from the drool..

Those things are awesome! How do they come up with that stuff??

Must have been great to see in person, hopefully they will be there in 2008. One can only hope.

Awesome. Thanks for the pics!

BTW, is it just an artifact of the picture, or is that bloom, or dust, or what all over many of those cigars?

Where is a masturbating smiley when you need one :sign: ... freaking awesome photo report Moki!!! Thanks for sharing!

It's really there! :)

Thanks a lot for posting the pictures Andrew and sharing them with us....... :)

I just gotta know. How does one get that kind of access? If I go to the DR, and go on a factory tour, do I get to see that with my own eyes? If so, I think I just found my next vacation spot.

Edit: I think I just read that there is no such thing as a factory tour. Too bad. Moki--do you by any chance need a travelling assistant? I normally bill out at $200 an hour, but I'm sure we can work something out
