Have no idea what it is and hope someone can help. My wife loves flea markets and I tend to breeze through them looking for old fishing stuff. Found this today for $20. Seems in really good shape. Came with a diamond crown humidifier tank thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, that sounds like the same way I answer my wife! Of course I have to run real fast when I do! I know it is probably just a cheapy but still curious?

Welcome to CP. I may be in no position to write this but, start by introducing your self here to everyone in the introduction section, Read threw all of the rules here (note: As I did not, and learned the hard way.) Hang around for a while, make some friends, and I am sure you will find that the people, and the information around here is out of this world! Good luck, and yes its a humidor :)

Ha ha, that is some funny shix right there. Jeff did give you good advice though.

I have a few of those humidors that I bought at Sam's Club over 10 years ago. I got them as a solution to my singles issues after I filled the singles drawer of my Aristocrat.
They work fairly well in keeping the humidity steady as long as you keep a constant eye on it and refill the humidification devices at least once a month. The lid closes really well for an inexpensive humidor and the cedar fit inside is better than you would expect for something at that price point....I think I paid around $35 for each one and it also came with a matching ashtray and lighter.

Good score on your part. Now all you have to do is re-season it for a week or so and fill it up!

Also, try to use proper punctuation and grammar when possible.

As far as the humidor goes, junk the analog hygrometer and the foam humidifiers. What's up with the staining on the inside? The pic with the Diamond Crown humidifier shows it the most. Depending on what that is, maybe some light sanding on the inside before re-seasoning and as long as it seals well, it should work out ok for you.

Thanks for all the help on this.
Now all the questions I will try and answer.
* I did fill out the section titled introduce yourself.
* I try reel hard to chek my punctiationing so the gramer polise don't Git me!
* I did sand that spot out, not sure what it was though.
* I am looking forward to learning a lot about the art of quality cigars through this forum.
* most important though is sharing a hobby with like minded future friends, even though I might take some good natured hazing in the process. I know that this hobby can get expensive just like any other hobby I seem to find, but worth it in the return of friendships that develop. I am sure my humidor will sit in the garage collecting nuts and bolts some day while a nice shiny one or twelve will adorn my den! Till then I hope you all can put up with this old newbie? If not all I will be happy with just a few who will!
