Fingernail Cutting

Was wondering if anyone ever does this with a stick. Happened to me the other day, a friend and I had smokes but nothing to cut with so we used our fingernails to make a hole.

Not really the connoisseur way of doing things, but at the same time effective. Is this method scoffed at or an acceptable way to perforate sticks when no better means are available.

My miniature Swiss Army knife has a little girly-size pair of scissors that works well when a cutter isn't available.

I saw a Cuban cigar roller at a local shop doing it and got the idea. He just perforated the cap at the top with his thumbnail. I don't really think you need Florence Griffith Joyner type nails to do this.

I tried biting off the end before and just made mess of the stick and ruined the cap. Using my fingernail was much more precise.
