So at first sip (without ice or water) I was overwhelmed with a strong taste and alcohol burn on the back. After reviewing AVB's review on this..again..I put a cube of ice in the snifter and let it melt. Makes all the difference in the world! Now I'm getting a cool dark orange sherry oak taste. This is definately a treat as the sherry orange taste IMO makes this a scotch seperate from all the others I have tried. The ice brought out the that dark sherry nose. I haven't tried ice or water with any of the other scotches I have but I won't drink this one without it again.
What makes this so special is the way that you approach it. Definately a great reward when approached right.
