Well i never thought I would need a humidor.. I always figured I would never stock pile cigars. and always smoke the few I have..

Well today I am looking at my ziplock bagS at work and wondering how the heck I ended up with so many damn cigars.. So I guess I must give in.

I am interested in purchasing the Lincoln glass top from bargainhumidors.

My ? is I am looking at picking up the humidity beads. For this size humidor..how many oz/lb beads do you recommend for this size humidor.

Thanks again..

and yes this is the perfect size..for me to have at work.... :D

I can't help myself...

1lb will work for 5 cubic feet

The lincoln is 14.5" x 10" x 6" OR 0.5034 cubic feet.

That means that you would need 1.61 oz. (approx. 1/10 lb) of climmax beads for your humidor.

I'm not suggesting that you actually measure out 1/10 lbs of beads I just couldn't help but do the math

Buy the half pound and save some of it for your 1st cooler :D

Other than taking up more space putting more beads in your humidor doesnt hurt anything, I feal it gives me more of a buffer zone.

I would love to have a work Humi. but lighting up a cigar at my DairyQueen prob. wouldn't go over.

Good point Randy, though you have said in the past that you could try and emulate Mel from Mel's Diner. You could wear a white undershirt, not bathe for awhile and smoke a cigar with falling ashes as you flip a burger or two while taking in that eye candy of an employee known as Verneen. :p ;)

alexgtp. I envy your problem. Some of us would get drawn and quartered if we had a humi at work. Even if we smoked them outside.

Thats right Scott , all I can do now Is look at Verneen since you claimed her on top of the Icecream Machine :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Randy has a very good point. Although a half pound is by calculation too much for that humi it will not hurt. The main benefit you will see is far more time before you have to do anything to the beads as far as ading distilled water. They will also be able to condition new smokes quicker with the larger amount.

You know, I got my first humidor from them as well. I'm very happy with it and think that the wife couldn't have picked out a better one for the price range. I've been mystified as to how in the world the company got placed on the Scumbags & bad trader's list I kind of have to wonder if it isn't because someone just has a beef with them and that it isn't a widespread pattern. I've warned membes here about them before, but I've yet to have contact with anyone who says they are horrible or deceitful.

Questionable business practices and poor customer service.

BTW-Excellent pictures of the humidor!!. I'm jealous of you in the sense that you have a see through top. When I get my second humidor, I'm goign to have to make that one requirement for the next one. Don't knw why, just love 'em like that.

I ended up with the glass top.. because for some odd reason I like to look at my cigars.. :whistling:

SO instead of opening and closing a regular humidor..and losing the humidity... I opted for the glass top.!!

ANd the best thing is I can stare at it all day while at work.. ..

NOw all I need are some ISOM's to keep the N/C premiums company!!
