The nino that came back to me from Big100HD was a terrific little smoke. Imagine my surprise when I looked up the brand and found nearly a dozen (seemed like that many) different lines from this company.

Any recommendations? Warnings? "Don't waste your money" type comments? :D

Mystic Knight is not bad, and the fat boy is strong but lacking in depth i just like it for winter since it is so small.

I have smoked the Felipe II Fusion F3 (that's a mouthful!) and I really enjoyed it, but it is very pricey (i think they go for ~$15 a stick).

I seem to remember about 9 years ago when he came out at the RTDA in Orlando with his Petrus line...not too good. :whistling:

The Felipe "blue band" is a very nice smoke when it is on.....full bodied & beautifully spicy. The Felipe II has a similar flavor profile, but is milder. I wouldn't waste my time on a Felipe Dominicana. The Centenario (IMHE) is plagued with construction problems.

Ditto on the Fat Boy. If what you want is nicotine this will kick your butt. But not real strong or memorable flavor

The original Felipe Gregorio (blue band) used to be a very good cigar. Especially the torpedo and churchill (can't remember the names). The Felipe II line (yellow band) is good as well...a little more spice and less strength. I like the fat boys in both lines. The fusion is, indeed, a fine cigar. Lots of creamy flavor and cedar undertones...nice. It is, however, pricey. The other lines...petrus, felipe dominicana, tres/dos capas, excellence, centenario classic, etc. are not very good IMHO.

Good advice Dawg...i forgot about the tres capas...terrible; like i licked my lawn mower...

I've had some of the Petrus Fortus Anejo #1 and #3 - their "premium" line. Cbid had them VERY cheap (supposed to be around $15 each, on Cbid they were like $2.00 each). Not a bad smoke - certainly not a $15.00 smoke, but definitely a decent smoke, even in the $5-8 range.

I remember when the Petrus Etiquette Rouge was released. Very expensive ($12-$16), but a very good cigar for those who like rich, mild-to-medium bodied smokes. I have not had the Petrus Fortus Anejo, but wonder how they compare. Also, there is a Petrus Royal Maduro (also cheap at CBid and CI) that has the old Petrus Etiquette Rouge band. Hhhhmmmmmmm.

You'll have to remind me when the C'ville pass gets to me so I can throw a Petrus Fortus Anejo #3 (torpedo) in the host bag for you to try....
