I have several family Tomato Sauce recipe's.

There is a Marinara, a Bolognese, etc. My family is from the Bari area of Italy. My son loves my Baked Lasagna, and one of my meatball recipes, but he isn't a real fan of my tomato sauces when used over pasta. What I have figured out is that he seems to like what I think are simple sauces.

I went looking for a recipe that I remembered Doc posting. Nice and simple. Gonna try it this weekend.
While reading that thread, someone mentioned that every family thinks their sauce is the best. I figure, why not post them here, if it is not a secret. ;) I will cook them and see how he likes them. There is a flavor that one local italian restaurant has, he loves it, and for the life of me, I can't duplicate it. It is excellent, and although I like mine better, that doesn't help me with the boy. I will post mine when I figure out quantities, cause it is all by eye. :D

Well, I tried Doc's Marinara. I thought it was excellent. My son, did not :(

Nice fresh flavors, with the tomato flavor preserved, and still the star of the sauce. I already use Barilla pasta, which I have to agree is great pasta that has a great mouth feel and flavor. I am adding Doc's recipe to my favorites cookbook. A journal type book that I have recorded several family recipe's. This is done with the intention of passing on to my son, so he can keep these family recipes alive.

I want to thank Doc for sharing.

So, the search continues.
