Greetings! Is anyone familiar with any of the cigars made by master cigar-maker Nestor Plasencia? I would like to know your opinions about any of these cigars. Thank you! Regards, knightlaird

TKO is a great liitle smoke. A petit corona that is just a powerhouse.
Lots of piloto and ligero in this little a** kicker.

Also had another made by nestor yesterday id never heard of.
Cant remember the name but it had a blue band and came wrapped in tissue.
It was gifted to me by a customer and i smoked it while watching the Cheifs game.
A mild to med. smoke, nic. make up i think. Very good.

I've tried the Placensia Reserva Organic which is an organically grown cigar. It was a nice looking cigar mild cigar. I prefer a medium to full cigar, but it was still a nice smoke.

I believe if you research Plascencia, you'll find out he makes a LOT of the brands that are fairly popular. Doesn't he make some of the CAO stuff? I read an article about him, and was surprised at all he was involved in.

I tried a Pascencia for the first time last week, I received it in a blind trade. Great little cigar but I don't remember what it was, size was like a SCdLH El Principe. If I can find them I'll probably add a few to the humidor.

Knightlaird,

According to Lew Rothman in the JR catalog, Nestor makes over fifty brands, including the Bering and Maria Mancini Lew sells...but...

I've read posts on a couple of other boards accusing Nestor of continuing to produce cigars under one label or another long after the original supply/blend is gone.

Just an FYI, FWIW.

Hi, sduke! Thank you very much for the information. I have learned that there are other cigar manufacturers who also do this. During the cigar boom, Senor Gonzalez, Hialeah, Florida, produced the Cuba Libre brand of cigars. Now, Nestor Plasencia continues to produce these cigars. There is both an Honduran, and a Nicaraguan version of the Cuba Libre cigars available. Have a great evening, sduke! Regards, knightlaird

I've had a couple of Nestor Reserve and thought they were pretty enjoyable. I've also had the reserva organica via Aaron and thought they were excellent although a bit pricey.

I second on the TKO's. Its a small little firecracker, and a very good value. I think JR's has em for $40 for a bundle of 25
