A guy I know went to Dominican Republic and sent back this sweet deal he got on some Cohiba Esplendidos. He is not a cigar smoker and the sales guy knew it. Totally got ripped. Heck I'm not a pro by any means but it's quite obvious these are fake and not even a good fake at that. We lit one up and it smelled like pipe tobacco then burned plastic. I couldn't believe that there was a piece of cellophane stuck inside. Enjoy the pics.

Did he tell you how much he spent on this "sweet deal"? I always tell people, if a cigar is fake and I know it then I wouldn't smoke it because you never know what's in there. I know that some people do smoke them regardless and I will never understand the rationale behind this.

He wouldn't tell us how much he paid. Seems to me that he was beat pretty bad. I agree about not smoking it, too sketchy, that thing didn't touch my lips.

I had a friend who traveled to Cuba for work. He came back and wanted to share some Cohibas he bought while there. The box had a picture of Che on it, and the cigars were about 4 inches long, and the label said Maduro. I tried one just to see how bad it was. The wrapper made my lips burn. I still have the other one he gave me just to spring it on one of my cigar buddies some day.

At least they're not the infamous Cohiba barberpoles! o_O

Which I actually have one of, in my humidor. My best friend and I got his dad into smoking real cigars instead of Backwoods and Rum crooks, and the next thing we knew, he was excitedly gifting us both with one. From a friend at work who had a friend who . . . well, you know.

Your right not the barber poles but at least he got the classic glass top cellophane wrapped Esplendidos!

Man that is a baller cigar right there! Rocking the glass top, cello on, seal and clasp, who could ask for more? Hopefully they can be smoked and aren't total dog rockets. My son bought me back some AF cigars from the DR, total fakes but not a bad smoke. I felt bad for him when I told him and showed him what they should look like. It was the thought that counted.
