Excellent article about the Padron family and Cuban cigars in general

All that reading to find out what I already knew. Nobody knows what's going to happen. But I can tell you one thing, whatever happens is going to suck and we CC smokers won't be happy for a number of years. We're probably in the sunset of the Golden Age of Cuban cigars. I can see it now; embargo cigars going for a healthy premium

Are people who buy Cuban smokes supporting a communist regime or the people of a 4th world country just trying make a living?
 
I imagine its a lot of one and a little of another.   Still it will be a great day even if it is a VERY POLITICAL conversation. 
 
Don't mince words.  If you think this is a VERY POLITICAL (your emphasis) discussion and find yourself offended, maybe you should just say so.
 
I found it very informative and interesting with respect to the cigar business and the Padron family.  Political...??  Well, not so much from where I sit.
 
As they say, one man's opinion.
 
Well, I thought it was was a great history lesson, learned a lot of things I never knew happened. I don't understand why it would hurt the current cigar industry. Just because you could buy a Cuban? I'll stick with my friends from NIC. And Dom.
 
If only we could just focus on the good of cigars, and build on that. Olive branch? I say cigars. Many healthy discussions have taken place over stogies. Seriously, I think sometimes we've focused in on what makes us different or the bad, instead if what we have in common and good. It is what it is. If only the real world had a set of red letters that we could reference like CP! ;)
 
Great article.  It will be an interesting time for sure, if the Embargo ends.
