I've got one of these, and it's been sitting in my humi for about 3 months now, and the other day I figured I'd go and enjoy it. However, once I cut the end and gave it a prelight draw, I could hardly pull any air through it! So I haven't smoke it yet, I placed it back in the humi (with the end now cut) and wanted to get some advice on what to do with it.

And just for information:

My humi is sitting somewhere in between 65 and 70% RH. I have 65% beads, but my digital gauge has read 70 for at least two months.

The cigar did feel somewhat "wet" as I felt the wrapper and gave it a once over looking at quality of outer construction.

And sending the cigar to you is not an option for what I should do with it :p

I just had a similar problem with a cigar and I took a paperclip and stabbed it in the end a few times, around the edges and in the center (do I have to say be careful not to poke throught the side?). I was able to get a great draw after that. Of course if it's 'wet' than this method won't work. Good luck!

...OK, well, you should send me the cigar...oh, never mind... :p

In my experience, sometimes there's no way around it - you get plugged gars. Had a couple of ISOM's plugged so bad there was nothing that could be done with them; the other three in the fiver smoked flawlessly.

Best suggestion I have is to get ahold of a shish-kabob stick and ram 'er down the length of the gar and try to open it up. Also heard a suggestion of using a long deck screw to open the gar up but I've never tried it.

ERDM Choix Supreme's are good cigars.....too bad.

Best of luck - B.B.S.

I always hate to operate on a cigar but I'll work on it a little bit. Usally I get it to open up for a few puff and it closes right back up. If I can't get it after a few tries I pitch it.

I use one of these Draw Pokers  . If that doesn't work I have a real long drill bit in my drill and I drill the SOB.

Thats too bad. I just had my first Choix the other day and I really really loved it. Best smelling cigar ever. And the taste was really good as well. I decided I have to buy a box of these. My cigar burned a little uneven but otherwise it was great. If this one doesn't work out I would recomend trying another.
