This was a wonderful cigar. wrapper had small veins. The foot had very little scent but from what I could smell it was a pleasant sweet cocoa. Once I cut the cap, I found it to draw a little stiff. Once I lit it though, it produced a very full rich smoke. Once I was an inch into it, it developed a slight peppery flavor. This went on about 1/2 way through the cigar. At this point it really got fantastic. The flavor lost the pepper to be replaced with a rich, creaminess. The smoke was very thick and quite pleasant. This flavor is what it finished with. All in all, it was a very fine cigar.
In most reviews we analyze the aspects of the cigar but we never mention what the cigar does for the situation. When you are spending time with the friends or family, a good cigar can really enhance the moment. A bad cigar can take away from the time. My BIL and I were enjoying a couple of these last night and upon finishing them, we realized that the cigars really made the time enjoyable. I've decided that after my reviews of the cigar, I will give it a value rating based on how it has add or taken from the time spent smoking it with my friends or family. A simple 1 to 10. This score could be effected say if I had to stop a good conversation to relight or fix a run. Or if it didn't have a satisfying smoke that distracted my attention from someone.
As far as my score for this cigar, it was very enjoyable. I would give it a solid 92. As for the enjoyment score goes, it was a solid 8+ it never ran, it had great smoke and made for a good reflection upon us finishing them. If you have a chance to try one, I would definitely do so.

This has been one of my favorite cigars that I've had. The only problem I had was when it was done, I wanted more!

The first El Triunfador I had was mind blowing to say the least. In all honestly I came across a taste of black tea leaves as I smoke the lancero down to the end. I am glad to have been able to get my hands on a box and can not wait to smoke another with some age on it.

Excellent smoke for sure and unfortunately only have a few left now.

This is hands down my top favorite cigar. I realize it is the same blend as a maduro Guapos, but the lancero format changes the flavors in a subtle way that just fits for me. Damn good, and when I have the room eventually I will purchase a 100 cab of these. Or two.

I really need to get my hands on some of these. Does anyone else find it interesting how many good small ring guage cigars are coming our of NC while the Cubans are discontinuing production of a lot of their small ring guage cigars? Wonder what is going on?

This is one of my favorite cigars right now. It produces an incredible amount of smoke and is absolutely wonderful.
