I do a LOT of work with google and their adwords program. Of course with the holidays coming around I start getting all of the gifts from vendors and such. A few good bottles of wine, some tickets to a Steelers game, yada yada. Well, I recieved a package from Google today with one of the most thoughtful gifts a vendor has ever sent. It was a gift certificate to the aforementioned DonorsChoose.org. $100 dollars towards any project I choose. I had never seen or heard of this group before, but was impressed to see how they fund school projects. Of course, I am going to have my son's teacher put in a project and put the money towards that, but you can donate to anyone on the site. If you haven't seen it, and are as rabid as I am about communities and individuals getting involved in the schools, you need to check it out. I am in no way affiliated with Google (except for paying them lots of money
