Hey All,

I know this has been done many times before and I'd like to do it again.

I have a whole bunch of cigars that I won't be able to get to and I'd like to see them go to the troops.  Does anyone have any recommendations on where/how to send them?

I read up here:

http://www.cigarpass.com/forumsipb/topic/74900-cigars-for-troops/page-2?hl=+cigars%20+for%20+troops

And wasn't sure if Charlie was still a good route to go or if anyone had any other suggestions?

Thanks for the help/input!

-Greg

Greg, and for those of you who dont have a donation center near by, what i have done in the past is go to the nearest Recruitment Center and ask to speak with the Sargent or Captain.  I've told them that I want to donate cigars to troops/Marines, and asked then if they have a buddy who is deployed or know someone who is deployed.  They will also tell you other items which would be greatly appreciated by the recipient: Gatorade Powder, Cup Of Noodles and Ramen/ Hand Warmers/ Batteries/ Beef Jerky/ Baby Wipes/ Hard Candies/ Reading Material/ Etc.

I've had Sargent say that Playboys are cherished but you need to be thoughtful in how you send that because its not allowed, and don't send alcohol.

I hope this helps those who have similar questions.

never send cigars, but handmade candles....just sayin.

I currently dont know of any one deployed, but if you google Kandahar Cigar Club, I think they stillhave one going.

Assuming you meant magazines not cigars.  :)

Isy at Uptown Cigar has a great way to send the troops "handmade candles."  Check it.

Fired off a box and received a very nice email from the recipient.

Is the banner on the site a live link? Just clicked on it from my mobile device to find out the details and got the message "404 Page Not Found". I have been wanting to do something like this for a while. Details?

I don't think it is active still.

Also this is a great idea if you're looking to send a box, but I already have the cigars that I want to send.  So I think I'm going to swing by the B&M right down the street from me as they are a Cigars for Warriors donation center.

Hmmm, call the number and ask for Israel.  Tell him you're a CP member.  He'll hook you up properly or point you in the right direction.
