First off, I bought this cigar just because I thought it would be something cool to keep in the humi and show off. It runs about twenty dollars, and the other cigar made like this, the baseball bat, is really hard to find. Atleast I couldn't find it. I'll probably get another, but it'll just be for keeping.
I lit this cigar with a colibri pipe lighter, kinda funny right? The light up was not as hard as I thought it would be. The draw was pretty smooth therw the most part. The cigar didn't have any certain taste that popped into my mind in the beginging, although, I do remember a light hint of coffee. The first few puffs were very easy.
Of course my biggest concern would be an even burn. I thought this cigar is not really made to smoke, it's made for looks. The burn down the first of the pipe was very even and really surprising.
Everyone in the Tinderbox was watching me smoke this thing had a different thought on how the burn would go once it hit the "stem" of the pipe.
The burning skipped a tiny small part of the wrapper at the bottom. This did not effect my draw, nor smoke amount, and still left the cigar enjoyable as before.
Final Result from my thoughts were this:
It's a good show cigar. It's not bad to smoke, but for the money this cigar usually runs, it's better to be kept away and looked at. It's very mild and smooth, with light hints of coffee. This cigar did get a little hot towards the end, and the taste went south. Not a finger burner. Unless you are buying it as a piece of "cigar art" save the money! But you do have to love the fact this cigar looks like a pipe!
