I just tried one of these the other day at my local shop.
Nice construction and a smooth mocha brown wrapper with a nice aroma. Not veiny or soft.
Upon lighting and taking a couple initial puffs I noticed that this cigar had a very easy draw. I generally do not mind an easy draw but it was noticable and worth mentioning here. Early on I could detect a mild spicyness and slight nuttyness. I mentioned this to the shop owner and he indicated that it is from the Cameroon tobacco used.
This cigar began to get better with time as the flavors became more noticeable and pronounced, but still remaining what I would call a mild to medium smoke. Throughout this cigar produced copious amounts of smoke. As I got about half way through I noticed that the draw tightened up a bit, which made the experience even better.
While the nuttyness and spice never became overwhelming it did increase after the first inch or so and maintained its consistency throughout. If this is what some call "one dimensional" then I guess it was but I enjoyed the flavor throughout regardless.
The burn was consistent and needed no correction. Ash was tight and firm.
A really good smoke for the money. Other than the draw being lighter than I usually prefer (which did not take away too much from the enjoyment of this cigar) I would say that this was a cigar that I would consider buying a box for the humidor. I cannot wait to try another vitola.
To put a rating to this, from my personal experience and how I liked it, I would say an 85 to 90 with the light draw being the main detractor.
