I just ordered a few various singles from JR's...Anyone ever try these? What can I expect???

Yes emo...I have smoked quite a few of the DM Monte's over the years...good quality gars. Now do they compare to the ISOM's...no...not in my opinion...but you've made a good purchase all the same. It's been awhile sense I've had one...so sorry no specifics...sure wish I hadn't lost all those years of cigar notes....DAMN!!!!! ;)
 
Yeah right it didn't work in High School and it won't work on me. The dog didn't eat your notes..."Did I say that out loud?" Geez... :p

Emo, they will be on the mild side.

Now the Peruvian Monte's are another thing! I should have thrown a Buena Fortuna in that package I sent you. Medium flavor/strength with a great finish to it. :thumbs:
 
Yeah, I smoked that yesterday evening. Good flavor, but was rolled really loose. I'll have to go find me another that is a little tighter. MMMM, nothing like a tight and tastey<doh!!!> ;)

I personally like the Dominican Monte's.  Never had a ISOM of them, so I can't tell ya the taste difference.

I prefer the #3 and #2 Torpedo.  Nice, smooth smoke, not too strong, not too mild.  I usually have one in the afternoon, or after a big dinner on Sundays (you know how them Italians are with the Sunday dinners, and if you don't, you need to come to Brooklyn more often :p)

Just brewed a batch of a hazelnut porter that is a prize winnah.. In about a month, there'll be some good drinkin going on in Brooklyn baby :)
 
Just got a package in from UPS. Gotta love JR's turnaround. Anyways, got 2 MX10's, 2 MX40's, and an MX20. They are very nice looking cigars. And the nose on them is a sweet chocolate flavour. I'll let them nap for a few days and then toast up that MX20. Look for a review Sunday.  :D
