Good Morning,

I came accross this great web page and wanted to talk concerning the posibility of doing business.

I am currently in the Dominican Republic and wish to find potential cigar clients for our cigars.
We are able to produce a wide range of cigars (size, quality, shade, blend, seed (Dominican, Cuban, etc...)

Please let me know if you would be interested in exploring the possibility of doing business together.

If you have your own label or an idea for a new label we can ship your cigars with your labels on them. The best thing in this case would be to quote the production cost on the label and compare, but i believe it would be cheaper to produce in the U.S. and send to us as some of our other clients do.
We also have our own Family Brand Label with wich we can work together with.

Please let me know either way your thoughts and/or comments.

Best Regards,

Peter

Do you have a relative in Nigeria who has millions of dollars that he'd like me to launder too?

I am quite new here, so i really dont understand what it is you were trying to say.

If this was some type of humor i really dont understand it.

My intentions here are to network with people interested in buying
DOMINICAN HAND MADE CIGARS. If there is someone interested please let me know.

I would reccomend having this piece moved to the proper forums, i.e. - the retailer area instead of the Lobby.

Ok...

If you're selling labels, sell labels. If you're selling cigars, send some of us some cigars so we can see if they are worth our trouble. We like good smokes around here, not $10 bundles of seconds. We can already print/buy custom bands for our own novelty. You need to decide what your product is, and make some effort to interest anyone here in it. We get lots of offers from unknown people for stuff of unknown quality. You can't just say 'come and get it' and expect a response. There are dozens of tested, reviewed, consistent , tried, and true vendors and brands available. Brands that we know and like. You have to do a lot better than this to get anyone to send you a dime. And stop typing in giant blue font unless you're marketing to 5 year olds.

Man you guys are harsh.LOL  Other than originally posting in the incorrect forum...I'm not sure what this guy has done that's out of line. He didn't ask for anyone to send him money. I see where is information is "thin", but if interested I'm sure more detailed info would be provided if he is a reputable businessman. It's one thing to reem people trying to sell Cubans that have never been on this site, it's other to reem a manufacturer of dominican cigars...of all things. Give me a break. Email him if his post interested you. If not, leave it alone. I wonder where this thread would be if people hadjust asked some questions to fill in the blanks?

He asked for comments,I was giving him comments. I think every point I made was valid if a bit harsh. This is why businesses fail, people don't know what they are trying to sell, and who they are trying to sell it to.

I agree, this was a real harsh way to greet this guy.

Sorry guy, normally people are more friendly around here.

I always my open for a new business venture, and I would be interested in some more information on exactly what you are looking for: shops, distributors, home buyers, etc. Quanity ranges: 1 bundle/box, a pallet's worth, truck or boat load, etc. Finally of course price range.

Thanks!

Sam

P.S. Now guys behave yourselves!

Or offer a couple of samples to people on the board. This sounds fair to me

WOW.....lots of comments.
For those who defended me Thank you.
I do apologize for the blue letters, did not realize how big they actualy were.

I believe that in no case did i mention that i was selling labels. All i did was mention the fact that, like we do with other clients, you have the option of sending your own labels and we put them on the cigars you order or like others have asked as well is to go ahead and produce the labels here and include them in the price.
And my opinion on that was that it was cheaper in the U.S than here. (labels)

Regarding info on the cigars:
We have different blends, we use piloto cubano and seco dominicano.
hand made and we have all size and styles
maduro conecicut (Cajuca) and Shade leaf, cameroon , maduros and sumatras. and we have corojo from here.
long filler, mild and strong
we have our brands and we also make cigars for people that have their own brands

Our Brands include;
International,
Defiant and
Dajer

Prices vary on quantity and quality of the Cigars.

Let me know what you think, I would like to start of on the right path regarding the cigars and i believe that meeting the right people could produce Win Win situations.

Hopefully this could be one of those situations.

Best Regards,

Peter

PS. if you are a distribuitor depending on your market and who you actuall sell to would dictates what type of quality cigar you are looking for to buy and resell.

Ok, so your primarily looking for cigar stores and distributors to market your product, which comes with your own labels - or if the buyer wants, can create their own labels that you will put on the cigars.

Is this all correct?

Sam

Preferably yes, Although i do not rule out the possibiliy of sending out smaller individual orders.

Its much easier to supply individual orders if the product is already in the US as opposed to having to ship 2 or 3 boxes or bundles from Dominican Republic to the US. Another factor to consider is the import license that i think would be needed and most likely individual people to do have. This is were a distributor or Store would come in. Shipment cost would be to high relative to the small order.
(It would be worthwhile if someone would find out more about this license and if its needed. I would really apreciate someone letting me know what the case is regarding this, just for my information)

In summary Sam you are correct in you comments, that is basically what i am looking for although like i mentioned before i certainly to not rule out the possibilities of sending smaller orders. This will depend on the type of cigars and quantities.

Like always comments and/or thoughts are always appreciated.

Best Regards,

Peter

okay, now that we're getting that all cleared up, we still have the problem that none of us know if your product is worth investing in (much less learning the import laws for distributors of tobacco!)

If you'd like me to put in a good word for you with would be customers here, my address is in my profile. Send me a box or two and I'd be happy to start a pass with them to build your customer base. (Feel free to PM me on this board if you'd like to try that.)
