Well I finally gave in and tried one of those Anejos that you all rave so much about. I was sure disappointed. I guess my expectations were too high after reading all the rave reviews and seeing all the bloated pricing on the internet. I certainly expected it to be better than the VSG that I also smoked yesterday but I was way wrong. There are many domestics that I like better. But I certainly like the ISOMs better. I am really glad that I finally got to try one though. What is all the fuss over these cigar anyway? Is it thier rarity or something.

:D I'll just let the other 7 that I have sit in my humidor and age and try one periodically to see if my taste for them changes.

Try another one before you give up. Never judge a cigar by your first one.

Excellent. The less people who like these the better. :)

Atuck,

Or if you'd like...I could use a good sized Anejo bomb over here at my home!! :sign:

Friends don't let friends hold onto cigars they don;t like. I'll be a good friend and take those undesirables off your hands :p

I too, like many of the Brothers here, would
gladly help you by offering my humidor to dispose of the
disapointing Anejos

looks like we got our first kamakazi "victim" in the newbie war.
fetter i cant let you do this alone so i'll volunteer to stand on the target with ya ??? :whistling: :0

   So so very funny!! I'll just hold onto them and see if they age gracefully. And next time I hear of a great deal on them, I'm there Moki :whistling: . They look so nice in my glass front display humidor next to my collection of other fine smokes like Opus, Hemingway, and Diamond Crown :D .

Gonna go out a bit of a limb here and quasi-agree with atuck (I know, what am I thinking :sign: ). Anyway, I'll start by saying that I really do like the Anejo...I believe it is in the top 5 NC smokes available. However, the last couple that I have smoked, one from this year and one from last, have been flat. There was just no pop, no explosion of flavor that I have gotten out of them in the past. They were incredibly smooth, very refined, and had some rich flavors, but those flavors were not as pronounced as in the past. Now, they probably need considerable more age on them. Believe me, I will age them. However, I just think back to the original release Anejos and think, man, this is what this cigar could have been. They've never been as good as those almost mythical smokes.

Just my 0.02.

OutlawD,

I think that I should have four and you can take the other 3. How'z that for fair? :whistling: We just need to convince Atuck... :D

works for me :D just lookin out for a fellow fuente fan

Sorry atuck but I gotta go with Moki on this one

I too was not at all impressed with the first few Añejos I smoked BUT the more I smoked them, the more I like them  I usually don't have too many on hand so I'm lucky if I smoke one or two a month but I have really become quite fond of these.

If you want to trade some Havanas for the rest of your Añejos, PLEASE drop me a PM ;)

That is exactly what I am hoping will happen with me. Otherwise I feel like I am missing out on something great.
