Had my first Diamond Crown the other day, a Toro #4 included in a a trade I did with Moki. This is a real nice stick and what it lacks in physical beauty is makes up in taste. The stick is somewhat mottled looking, almost as though it got wet and dried out. I know that's not hte case and that in fact that's how these babies look.

I double guilloteended the tip and the pre-light draw was easy and sweet. She sparked right up and oh my was she tasty. Sweet floral honey notes. A touch of fruit on the exhale. Nice long smooth finish. Really beautiful quality to the taste. COnstruction was exquisite. Razor burn all the way with snow-white ash. This was one super enjoyable smoke that packed a nice strong punch. Will definately repeat with this equisite line.

Some people say these aren't worth the price, which strictly speaking might be true, but strictly speaking neither are PAMs or Opus. I am a big fan of the DCM.

I have had just a few DCs, and loved them. Have yet to try a DCM, are they much different?

Yes. Completely IMHO.

Nice review...Is it the Don Carlos or Diamond Crown that comes in Maduro? Or am I thinking of a special release or unreleased version?
