We're getting close and very few slots are left for our 12th annual Post Turkey Day Crawl. It will be held Friday Nov 23rd this year. For those who don't know it is a day long festival with plenty of free smokes, special deals and our gala dinner and raffle. The cost for a raffle ticket and dinner ( choice of Beef Tenderlion Oscar, Bullafo Ribeye or Wild Salmon) is only $55!!! That is back to 2000 prices! Anyway let me know if you are interested it will be a blast.

WHO'S WE? Tried to find something about you, but couldn't. How about some friendly info, or just some info period. Most of the active BOTL's from DFW don't know you, but it sounds like we might. Gotta come out to a herf, meet some of us, and post something other than ads. :)

Yehhh and where in DFW? Need more info?

Ok...granted I haven't been a big poster here....but only found the board recently ( well found it before but I am not big on passes per se....but the board seems good...and I have been busy so yup not many posts.) As for Ads...nope these are just opportunities for herfs. We have a group of about 50+ guys and gals who show up for our herfs 2 times a month.

We are agnostic about boards. We are just people who like to smoke...but do not pay allegiance to any particular board...all are welcome. We have members from the old ASC, CW, Cl, HP, CU and even here.

We began back in the days of ASC newsgroups when we started herfin on a regular basis.

We get invited from manfs to go to their factories. Some of us have been to Camp Camacho, others to La Aurora. We often have manfs visit us for our herfs giving out their newest and best sticks for us to try. We usually get unreleased or newly released cigars for the crawl. For example we launched the CAO Anniversario when it first came out. Last year, we had the Liga Privada #9.

We are the oldest cigar crawl as far as we can tell in the US. This is the 12th year.

We have lunuch ( on our own dime) then hit two cigar stores -- one in Dallas one in Plano--where there are special prices and freebies. We end up at our dinner where for 55 bucks you get a raffle ticket and a great meal. The raffle raises money for charity and we have some amazing prizes. We also have two terrific cigars for the dinner...and one has not been released yet.

If ya are interested in coming let me know. got between 3-6 slots left. It all depends on who pays first :)

And when I can make your herfs I will--this year's schedule has been bad and I am having trouble making ours)....you guys are always welcome at ours too.

Jeez, and I just wanted to know what city this was in, maybe an address?

Sorry Dallas. (Figured that was obvious by DFW and my sig) and I don't give out the locales unless people are signed up so I have a head count for the cigars. Unfortunately we had a couple of guys who would show up at the stores before we got there and took advantage of the freebies saying they were with out group, then by the time we got there, several guys had to do without the freebies because we thought we were going to have 50 so the manfs sent 50 cigars....and we ended up over that.

Brother’s, Mowee is good people. He’s probably one of the most cigar savvy people you’ll ever meet and very dedicated to the cigar culture.

Frank, why don’t you join us for the herf at Tobacco Road on Sunday Nov 11th? I’d be happy to buy you a smoke.

WoW - still no concrete info!?!? Mike says your good people so I'll take his word, but you gotta give more detailed info from the start, though the "just recently discovered the board" and your join date don't jive. I'm gonna pass on this event, maybe after we all meet one day there might be some appeal. Ads / opportunities it comes across the same; participating and a profile might help your cause, just be upfront.

I too trust Mike's judgment and know that he wouldn't send us to anyone with ill will towards members of this board. I would still like to know what area we're talking about here. I'm in far south Fort Worth so getting out to Plano is a big deal for me. This does sound like fun though, seeing as my wife will be out with my daughter on Black Friday...

I would love to but I will be on a plane all day on the 11th arriving back here on the morning of the 12th. Next time! Would be great to see ya.

That is how it all started 12 years ago. The wives were shopping....so we figured why not spend the day smokin. I know Ft Worth is a haul....but we have several guys from Ft Worth coming over...others are coming in from Waco and Austin...one from Pittsburgh PA.

The dinner is going to be near downtown Dallas at the Cock & Bull. It is a bar...hell it is a dive. BUT you can smoke there AND it has fantastic food at great prices. The chef came from Jeraboam in downtown Dallas...he is world class.

Jeff...not sure what info ya want. I do have a profile (had one when I joined but when I checked it was gone so reentered it.) And these ain't ads. I don't get anything from this. Just letting you guys know where herfs are. If ya want to come fine we'd love to have ya. If ya don't no prob either.

(oh and I lost the bookmark when I switched systems so yea I recently discovered it....and realized I had registered.)

Im in DFW and am very interested in the HERF, who do i need to talk to?

Jon if I lived over here all the time I wouldn't come to Dallas.....other than the rains last week and I saw you got pounded on Oahu...Sunday was our only bad day. Rob and I will be in Oahu this afternoon to change planes so I'll call you.

Aloha
