It's time to get back to the AOR. I'm leaving Thursday for a 120-day staff tour. Fortunately, I'll be co-located with my flying squadron, so hopefully I'll be able to fly a little bit. Even though I'll miss my family like crazy, the job sounds like a really good one, so I'm excited. Additionally, I'll be working for some incredible Americans while I'm out there, and, let's face it, a 120 certainly isn't a long deployment.

I'm counting on 12-16 hour work days, so I expect my CP participation to be minimal at best-- not that I've ever been the most active member. I'll do my best to pop in from time to time though.
 
Good luck and stay safe. Like you said, it's only four months, so it's not too bad. But... being gone is being gone, doesn't matter where you are at, for how long, or what kind of accommodations. You are apart from the family, none-the-less. I don't miss that part of it. I do miss the tax-exemptions, though...
