Decent full bodied gars

Alright, after trying some cigars that were gifted to me (thank you both LilBastage and Cigar Penguin!!), I have come to the realization that full bodied/full flavor cigars are where it's at for me.

What I am asking for is some more input on what are good, decent priced full bodied/flavored cigars out there. They don't have to be top shelf named cigars, (I can always rip the band off and enjoy without the distacting Opus X logo LOL).

Researching from website to website helps a little, but one thing I've noticed, is that one vendor will claim "full bodied watch out!"....while another wil market the same cigar as medium.....not even meduim/full...just medium. So I get very unsure when I think about hitting the "buy" button, thinking "do I really want to spend the money on these? Or are they just gonna sit in the humidor taking up space?

Some cigars that have become a mainstay for me are the:
Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Natural Robusto
Cremosa Cubana Robusto
Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Robusto
Danli Reserve (any size over 48 RG as the flavor just does not seem to carry through the cigar as well in the thinner RG's)

I am just kind of sick of spending my money (I don't have an indisposable amount LOL) on something that I end up thinking "this sucks". I am looking for the less expensive to lowend of mid-priced cigars here...like I said I don't need them to be top-shelf to enjoy them. So if some of you more experienced folks could just list a few apiece I'd be one grateful SOB. And just for clarification, for most people, if they think that it is medium/full in either body or flavor, chances are I will think that it is DEFINITELY medium..I must've killed off some taste buds somehow after 20+ years of Marlboro Reds.

If you took the time to read through all my ramblings, I thank you. If you reply with some advice as to a good gar to try....I am indebted (sp?) to you.

Have you tried the LFD Double Ligero, JdN Antaño, or Toraño Exodus gold label? Those cigars positively kick my ass. The TTT Trinidad is a pretty good smoke but not the cheapest.

Dunno what your "low end" price range really is, but you may give the RP Edge Maduro a try! Also the CAO MX2 is a good buy. Both are pretty much full bodied in my opinion. Both can usually be had for under $6 a stick (at least here in Missouri). Give these two a try, for the money they are pretty great full body/flavor smokes, with nice strength to match.

Just my .2 cents.. :)
 
The only one I would consider pricewise right now would be the Joyo de Nicaragua Antano 1970, and that is at the WAY upper register of price right now LOL.

But thanks ....all 3 will go onto my "list".

Any and all suggestions will be looked into and I will make a spreadsheet for quick reference come buying times. So again, Thank you all.

I've tried both the RP Edge and the CAO Mx2....not really all that full bodied...nice flavor, but didn't really have that "kick" that comes from a powerful tobacco if you know what I mean.
Oh and the most I'd be looking to spend is 65 bux/box. But just so you know....

A couple more I just thought of are the Sancho Panza lines. If you like maduro wrappers try the SP Double Maduro in a size you like. Retail around $2.50- $3.85 a stick.

If a natural wrapper is more your thing try the SP Extra Fuerte line. Pretty much in the same price range as the dbl maddies, but a completely different smoke for sure.

These are both on the full bodied side and in the lower end of price range!

hmmm you definitely are looking for heavy strength then. They are expensive for sure but your headed right up the LFD & JdN alley! :D

If you find something in the price range your looking for and the profile you are wanting please let me know what it is!
 
I see you listed the IT Super Fuerte Natural. Have you tried the IT Super Fuerte Maduro? It's a good, basic full-bodied cigar at a great price point.

The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero that Wilkey mentioned is also a nice cigar, but at a slightly higher price.

Some other personal favorites that you might be able to get some good deal on if you search around or are willing to try CBid:

Gurkha Doble Maduro
Torano Signature
LGC Reserva Figurados

Perhaps just a little above your price range but in the $80-$90 is the Juan Lopez Epi #2. Great straight forward stong tobacco flavor with a pretty good punch thrown in for good measure. I also agree that if you should look to the JdN Antanos and LFP DL lines.

I can't believe no one has recommended the Padron regular line in maduro. A very full bodied smoke, reasonably priced, and always a "go to" around here. I try to keep at least a couple boxes of 2000 maddies in the coolers....

You may want to try the Perdomo remainders. They need about a month of rest when new, but the ones I bought about a month ago are already smoking great and the price is right.
 
JDN Antano 1970, Sancho Panza, LFD Double ligero, Padron Maduro is probably my fav, and the smallest cigar the londres size is around 2 bucks

but I am just restating what has already been said
 
Wilkey nailed this with his selecetions. I'm partial to the JDN, but the Gran Reserva, they are beyond your price point. If you get a chance try one out and give a review.
 
Oliva "O" Maduro with the blue cloth band. About $110 a box for the Orion (7x54), less for the smaller sizes.

The past several Oliva "O" Maduro's I've bought have had paper bands. I find that to be very dissappointing. The cloth band had some class, gave the smoke a little edge IMO, now they just blend in with all the rest.

I've only smoked one with the cloth band and found it to be more bolder in stregnth and flavor.
The paper banded ones are definately medium stregnth at best.


AVB,do you have a source for boxes of the felt banded O maduro orions?
