I was holding off smoking this Cigar as I knew it would be the only time I would get to taste one.
I decided to smoke it today and if I enjoyed it I could maybe get a box of DC Maximus.

I paired this Cigar up with a New Zealand Lager with a 30 year old New Zealand Tawney port chaser.

Prelight draw was quite tight . Aroma was reminiscent of the aged cigars in my Humi.
I used my punch on the cap.
Initial taste was mild with sweet smoke.
There was a distinct flavor after the first 1/4 inch which lasted the whole length of Cigar.
Nice very Nice.
Ash was nicely grayed and well packed. With lots of thick, mild, sweet smoke.
Half way through the draw tightened up but was still Ok.

The Cigar had a distinct flavor that I could not put my finger on but was very nice to taste.
I was surprised that there was no bitterness present as I tend to draw quite heavily.

I had to clip the end on the last inch to allow draw.
Not an overly strong smoke but not mild either.
All in all a very nice Cigar and well worth trying.

I want to thank Andrew for the opportunity to try this Cigar.
Very nice Sir Thank You.

I used the topic description as "Lull in the Storm".
We had the most rain we have had in 5 years this weekend in Sydney with over 12 people killed.
I smoked this Cigar during a Lull in the weather.
Contemplating how short our lives can be and giving thanks for what pure pleasures we can try and taste.

Thank you for the fantastic review and excellent pictures. I had a similar experience to yours with this cigar. I have one more resting in my humi, which I guess I'll save for a rainy day.

Nicely done!

I have one of these resting, but until I get a second, I probably won't fire it up. Thanks for the review!

Great review and thanks for the pics, looks like you also have one hell of a balcony. Cant say I have one of these, but man they look good, that Lager looks tasty too

It is good Lager mate,it is low in alcohol(3.5%) so it is quite refreshing.
The Port boosts the affect up :whistling:

Glad you enjoyed the cigar. They have more flavor to them than regular DCMs, in my experience, though I believe the tobacco used to make them is quite aged... it is very smooth.

I recently smoked one of these, very good smoke, little more interesting than the regular DCM's I have had. Thanks for the review and pics.

Thanks for the review. I was gifted one of these by a very generous BOTL and am saving it for a time where I can really enjoy it. A nice, long, warm summer afternoon should do the trick....

Best Regards - B.B.S.

Nice review and pics! That is one cigar that is on my must-try list. I have enjoyed all the DCM I have had and this sounds even better.

Well reviewed, Dave. You're getting great mileage out of the bomb from Mr. Moki.

I've got one, maybe two of these stuffed somewhere for, well, I was going to say rainy day, but now let's just say another day.

Nice pics and review.

I reviewed this stick back in November 2006 - here's the link for a comparison clicky
I have re-visited them several times, the last just this week, definitely improved in 7 months.

Hey, NZ makes red wine
