I'm not sure how many NASCAR fans we have here but I will be cheering Dale Earnhardt Jr. on in the #88 Amp / National Guard Chevrolet this Sunday. I've got a few friends that are Tony Stewart fans as well as a couple of the jump on the band wagon Jimmie Johnson :D rooters. I'm sure that we have a couple of Jeff Gordon fans on here, I'm just not sure that they'll admit it....... :whistling:  :p

I'll be pulling for Junior myself, Charlie. At some point, he needs to break out of this funk that he's been calling a career.

I'm a Gordon fan. But that means I'm a Johnson fan and Little E fan too. Since Gordon is part owner of Hendrick and owner of Johnson's car. But I do agree Little E needs to get out of his funk and start doing something.

Richard Childress Racing.....we need a good comeback this year.

Go Mark Martin, even though he is part of Hendrick Racing

Congrats to Jamie McMurray and the Earnhardt Ganassi Racing team. Junior made that final charge and came up 2nd to end up with a points day. All the delays with the problems with the track kinda sucked but it's all part of racin'...... :)

I must say I am bitter! I DVR the races, almost exclusively. Mama had to work and I hate commercials. I always add 2 hrs to the time because I have missed the end of races due to extended red flags, rain, etc. Well as you all know 2 hours was not enough last night. I must say that watching 2.5 hours of a race without seeing the end is similar to getting some, without actually being there for the climax. :0 18 fuggin laps left, 18 freakin laps!

Did I mention I am bitter! :(

Well at least the season has begun, Our race in Las Vegas is two weeks out.
I actually help with the infield turf for the race here. In fact it's my butt in the seat applying the stripes to the turf that will be highlighted on the TV coverage. Funny line today I heard while at the track. In Las Vegas we have the Neon Garage. A petting zoo for fans to be able to view and see your Cup team and driver up close. But alas, Danica is only in the Nationwide garage. No petting zoo, or as Tony Stewart said last year "the fish bowl". The management is bitter that the folks buying the extra $200 Neon Garage pass may bitch about not seeing Patrick up close. The Neon Garage is really a cool idea and an idea I can see getting installed on a lot more tracks as it really does get you up in close to the work of NASCAR from the teams, to the officials. From tech, to victory lane it is a place unlike any other track.

Well here is to DVR properly set for the rest of the year! ;)

You are bitter? Hell, I was there and had to sit through that crap. Well actually, we stood through it, but it got chilly once the sun went down. We stayed to the end anyways, and had a good time but they need a better patching crew lol. I was pulling for Carl Edwards to win, but he just didn't have any motor. Apparantly changing your motor right before the big race doesn't help. The last 18 laps were just a bunch of mini crashes and restarts to get to the green white checker. They actually had it restart it twice for that.

I think Carl said it best when he said that they should just put a orange cone in the hole and let the drivers drive around it, like they had been doing pretty much all day anyways. LOL
