Which of the Davidoff line is a real bargain for what you pay? Smoked one over the winter(If you could call it that) and, I'm beginning to long for another. Thanks guys.

I dont think their is one ?

Pretty much.

I smoke them often enough that I'd agree with Big Stick.
There are no 'bargain' Davidoff's. I smoke them because I really like the cigars.
As far as price...try a few different singles (I know they have sampler packs) and decide if you like a particular line.
The one we smoked was about as good a bargain for that quality of a cigar(IMO). Of the last 7 people I've suggested to smoke
that stick...4 have bought boxes...1 bought a couple...1 is interested in Davi's (that be you!)...and the other was not that impressed.

What was the name and line of that one we smoked? My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!! :D

Oops - I was mistaken in my first post. You and I smoked the Davidoff Short Perfecto.
The others times it was the 100th Anniversary Robusto!

As mentioned before there are no bargains to be had with Davidoff. The cigars are probably the best constructed cigars out there, if you look at the wrappers, placement of the labels and presentation they are flawless. I prefer stronger cigars, yet I always have a place for Davidoff's, the Diademas Finas is one of there best cigars in recent years. The Millennium Series and the R Series are excellent. I just wish they didn't cost so much compared with other cigars. Hope that helps you.

For what you get, I've always thought the Grand Cru No. 2 was a pretty fair deal at $13 a pop. One of my favorite Davidoffs, and probobly my number one favorite mild cigar, except of course for the Diademas.

The Diademas Finas are an excellent cigar but they are ridiculously priced. Every Davidoff I have ever smoked was flawlessly made and very enjoyable, but they are waaaaaay overpriced.

I the noted cheapskate will have boxes upon boxes of the 100th anni blends as soon as those mega millions numbers match up :)

There is no bargain with Davidoff.

A little off topic...

What's the name of the Davidoff Seconds? Those are pretty tasty and are dirt cheap. My local shops always have older ones with nice yellow cello.

Private Stock are no longer Davidoff seconds, they've spun off into their own cigar company with their own blends. Davidoff has no seconds right now, they destroy all the non-par cigars they make.

BTW, is the store in Knoxville?

There are no "Davidoff Seconds".
Broken and bad Davidoff's from the factory are ground and sent to snuff factories.
The "Davidoff Seconds" - that people refer to are 'Private Stock' Long and Medium Filler.
IMO. these are not made in the same manner/care as the true white label Davidoff's.

<edit>
I was typing when TYFNS posted - lol

nope, one in cleveland and one in chattanooga. There are some great shops in knox, but I don't know if they have "Private Stock". Thanks for the response.

They are very nice cigars.
But over priced

Ah, the old "overpriced" observation. :D

I REALLY like some of the Davidoffs (the Millenniums and the 100th Anniversary) and yes, they are expensive BUT I think they are worth the money.

I generally agree with you anvilt that $20.00+ non Cuban cigars are almost always overpriced but I think the Davidoff Millenniums and the 100th Anniversaries are well worth the money.

There are some bundles put out by Davidoff (They'll never really admit it, but they are shipped to us by Davidoff of Geneva) and blended by Hendrik Kelner...they're unnamed and say something to the effect of 3x3 tubos on the packaging.

Millenniums are the best for me. Cannot wait to try the 100th Robusto as I really enjoy the Diadema Finas.

Now that is interesting. How are their prices in comparison to the "regular" Davidoff? I also have another curiosity, do the actual shipping labels say "Davidoff" somewhere on them or are they coming directly from Kelner?

I'm one of the people Gary shilled into buying a box of the 100th Robustos.

Expensive, but very, very good!

As far as bargains with Davidoff, it just doesn't happen...

It appears the Daidoff 100th Robusto is the cigar of choice. I love Robusto's!!!!
