Well...I had the pleasure of smoking one of the this evening. Very tasty smoke.

Earthy, rich and smooth for a young blend.

The wrapper was slightly veiny and looked 'thick' and a nice deep brown.
A little pigtail was clipped and the draw was PERFECT. Earthy tobacco.

Not too dissimilar to the 100 robusto..tho it seemd more full flavored and rich...not as refined as the 100th...yet it
seemed exactly as it should.

The ash was flaky - yet held together until each tap. ...a shirt saving feature! :D

The blend mellowed in the middle and stayed smooth and STRONG at the end.

This cigar is going to be a new release 100% Dominican.

It will be interesting to see what others think about them as the come out.

Short review becasue I was in some fine converstion as I smokes...which to me said the cigar held it's own
right off the bat...as I wasn't distracted by a 'bad' smoking experience as I talked.

Nice review Gary.

Nice review Gary! I missed something about these, hadn't even heard of them. Were they just released at RTDA or something?

Nice review, what size did you smoke and what other sizes is Davidoff putting out for this new line?

Only the one robusto. I believe it is a limited release and don't know if they are putting it out as a line.

Yummy sticks!

It's just a Robusto. It won't be an addition to a line, just this years LE offering. Davidoff has been doing this annually since the millenium and a few of the LE's have become very sought after smokes; particularly the millenium perfectos and the 2003 Panatella Extra. In some circles the 100th anniversay Robusto from last year is viewed as a potential classic as well.
