I read in the recent issue of Cigar Aficionado that the Davidoff Millenium Robusto is made with a slightly different blend than other Davidoff Milleniums so I purchased 1 and sparked it yesterday.

This is a fantastic smoke. Beautiful appearance, silky wrapper, a few veins running down the side but they had no effect on the razor burn. I punched the end and this baby had a perfect draw, slightly firm, but yeilding tons of smoke. Taste was fantastic, strong but beautifully balanced. A little pepper and spice with a complex background of ceder, leather. A terrific smoke.

But my question: Is this really different from other millenium. I've tried a few sizes (though not yet the new pyramid) and the only one I do not care for is the petit corona. Any thoughts about the blend here.

I had a petit corona the other day and loved it. To each his own I guess :)

Well, the blend may be *slightly* different to account for the vitola, but the taste profile seems pretty similar to me across the line. I like the lonsdales... strongest of the bunch IMHO. Great cigars!

Hmmm, could be a slightly different blend but they all taste the same to me. I love these cigars  in just about any vitola.

I smoked my 1st millennium blend this past weekend. It was a robusto. I have typically stayed away from Davidoff for a couple of reasons. The first, their cigars have been, in the past, just too mild. The second is the snob factor...just too snobby for my taste. Just something about it.

That said, don't know what caused me to have a wild hare up my a$$ this weekend and pay $14.50 for a cigar I've never tried. Sure glad I did. Great cigar. Smooth, strong-enough, with an excellent flavor profile (coffee with hints of both vanilla and cocoa on the finish). I like it enough to buy a couple of petite coronas for another day.

Most other domectic Davidoffs are pretty mild but again, these Millennium Blends are fantastic  and definitely pack more punch.
