A friend stopped by this evening to share a smoke. He had just gotten back into town and decided to kick back before school starts tomorrow (for him). He fired up a VSG Belicoso and I fired up my Davidoff 2000, which I had been meaning to try for some time now. I'll admit... I had some trepidations towards this cigar. This same friend had smoked a Davidoff Special R and the Millenium line over the winter break and was sorely disappointed. Granted, the Thousand series is not in the same class as those, but nonetheless, concern.

I cut the tip and took a pre-light draw. Almost felt like I was sucking through a straw. I fired it up and immediately, I was hit with volumes of smoke with an abudance of flavor. Although it started a bit hot, once it got going after a few puffs, the smoke cooled and the flavors were jumping out like fireworks. The burn was consistant and even. Every puff was exactly like the puff before. The taste was strong but smooth as advertised. I was VERY impressed.

At no point did this cigar ever waiver from its initial consistancy. For that, I give it extremely high marks. For the taste, superb... thus more high marks. In the end, this would rank as one of the top few smokes I've had.

Overall score: 9.5 out of 10

Major  to this one.

That does it. If my local smoke shop has these, I'm gonna pick some up! :D

Nice review bro!!

I'll have to check this one out.

BTW, I enjoyed a Millenium blend Robusto VERY MUCH!!!

You should try one if you liked these, maybe your friend got a bad one?

Neither Havana House, or Hickey's carry them :(. I had looked all over for them until I had to go online and get them. Dewey Ave. Smoke Shop might have them, not sure about Havana Club. Dewey was also the only one who carried Trinidad's which I think you should try...

right you are -- I was just going to post that. Oh well, on the wish list they go! :)

momentary thread jack.

gotta say am a fan of the domestic Trinidads. greta smoke powerhouse and a little cheaper than Davidoff's (though am still sad about 25% tobacco tax in WI)

I have a Millenium that was gifted to me by someone who shall remain nameless. I hope to smoke it in the near future. Those domestic Davidoffs are BIG $$$!!

Great review vewy
