I recently started my exploration into Cognac and my local spirit expert recommended I start by trying the Daniel Bouju line. I wasn't sure what to expect as I tend to drink mainly scotch and some bourbon, but I absolutely love this. I bought both the VSOP and the Napoleon to sample the different levels, and so far I have really enjoyed the VSOP. It has a nose full of vanilla and spices; the flavor is strong and full but very pleasant and not overpowering. This is a wonderful line and from what I have heard and read this producer takes his time and does things right. As AVB would say, an Ace.

We had a guy here named mitchshrader that was wild about Daniel Bouju. Do a search and he has 6 or 7 posts on it.

Thanks for the heads up and yeah he was wild about it. So much for an original thought, but a great brandy nevertheless.

Not sure, he hasn't logged in since October or posted since June.

I've been looking online for a source of Daniel Bouju but have yet to find any reputable ones. Any suggestions?

Since your profile is empty and I don't know where you are I can't help you either.

still alive and kicking, getting the last teen raised..

and daniel bouju is as good as ever, i'm eagerly awaiting my first taste of the 40 year old.

i've not tasted either of the two you have, i went for the 15 year old cask strength and got hooked.

not much bad to say about daniel bouju, it's hand made.

buy it if you can find it. :)
