I just got my credit card bill. Ouch! :sign:

What percentage of your monthly earnings is it acceptable to spend on rolled-up leaves?

Last month my cigar bill was little less than 50 % of my net income, this month only 10 % :whistling:

Herf at your house Gavin, so we can "counsel" you and your cigars through this very difficult time!

Usually about $125/month right now. Trying to start off slow, but it's very hard to do that...

I've been told that while I'm financially broke...I'm cigar rich.

I think there's another variable missing; storage budget.

If my humi's or coolers got a little room, 5-10% is sufficient. But if I get another cooler, PHEW! sometimes I have to look at the dog and say, "hey, you gonna eat that?"

40%... 50%... You guys need better jobs!

Or I need better cigars. :sign:

I'm filling my humidor with cigars for years to come. After 2-3 years I'll have a good selection of more or less aged CC's to smoke. That's why it's 50 % of my net monthly income now. If I actually compare my yearly income to cigars that I actually smoke the cost might be somewhere between 1-2 %.

Not to mention, the cost of the boxes we have bought in the past. I remember looking the current price for a COA Brazillia and then looking at my order from the previous year 1/2, the box went up 50 $$$. WTH. (pre-SCHIP pricing) I started to think that I need to start buying more now, so that I can really enjoy later. Now that Im working on my tabletop humi. That is definantly in the cards. Now just to find more money. hahahaha

Geez guys, I wouldn't even have a place to store 40%-50% of my income in cigars... makes me wish I did though, heh.

This is what drove me to start smoking a pipe. Not because I am old as some of you would say

When I buy from intentional vendors which is basically all the time the charge
on my CC is immediately and not delayed to a specific time during the month so
I can be more in control over my budget.
But it still hard :)

To be honest I have the cash to be able to spend half my monthly take home on cigars for a couple of months but that would not be wise. I would be low on cash and even more cramped in my little town house. I envy you guys who are in a position to do so and will be one day myself but first things first, a house! I hope to reach a point where I'm buying at least a box a month for a while as I don't expect to ever be able to smoke them that fast. It's okay to dream, right? :D

When I was unemployed sitting home all day, I spent an absurd amount of money on Cigars with the idea that "I'll pay for it once I'm working, no problem." However, I also never actually paid attention to how much I ordered, and now that I am working, haven't bought a box in months because I'm still paying for the purchases during unemployment.
