Here's goes my first cigar review... This cigar just plain looks intimidating. On the pre-light draw, the only thing I really noticed was the tight draw. Upon observation, I noticed that the tobacco was packed extremely tight on both ends of the cigar. For such a fat cigar, lighting it was relatively easy (I used matches). The first half inch or so was very mellow and simple, but then it started to change drastically. It started to pick up the complexity a little, and about a third of the way through it a peppery taste became very apparent. You could definitely tell this was a Nicaraguan puro. From about an inch in, the smoke was very warm, but never became "hot." The smoke was not very dense to the eyes, it tasted like it should have been. With about an inch and a half left, I really started to feel the nicotine. I hadn't been buzzed off a cigar this bad in quite a while. ...But that could be due to the fact that I was smoking in a dining room, with no ventilation, with four others. I did have to touch it up three times, but I was also smoking it pretty slow towards the end. Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar. Although it burned a little hot and the draw was a little tight, it had a great peppery taste and earthy aroma. I would recommend.

Here's some pre-smoke pictures:

NIce review! Good pics too. How about some shots of the ash next time? :D

I've heard decent reports on this stick and your experience seems to back that up.

Wilkey

PS. How'd you get ahold of Moki's quarter?

I've had good experiences with these in the past. Good flavors, nice construction. I just wish they made these in a "normal" ring gauge. The damned ring gauges are so large in this line, it feels like I'm smoking a doorknob. :p I have really gravitated toward the thin, girly cigars lately.

Nice review Brett. Can't say that I have had these, but now I want to  .

I had the opportunity to blaze through one of these things the other night. Pretty spicy cigar from the get-go...probably right up your ally Tony

Ditto.

These have tasted and smoked pretty well for me in the past. I'd enjoy them more though, if they were smaller ring gauge.

Nice review, btw!

I had a bunch of these when I was first starting to smoke. Very good imo, the size you had is a bit large but that do make one in a more reasonable 52 ring gauge I believe.

I had one of these, but it was an Epicure. It is a nice cigar, with very good flavor. Only as said before it has a very large RG. Right now i have a Perfecto Grande in my humi, but i have to find some time to smoke it.
