Has anyone been on this cruise? Is there any place that one can enjoy a cigar, other than outside? Michael's Club used to allow cigars, but not anymore.I have a suite with a veranda, booked. It is the first cruise for my wife and I. :whistling:

Never been on that particular cruise, but I go on a cruise every year. They are the greatest. Such a wonderful time. Hope you have fun bro. Just be forewarned, once you on your first you'll be booking the next one as soon as you return.

Thank you! I am looking forward to it.My wife is a little anxious about seasickness, but I think we can handle that possibility. ;)

Seasickness shouldn't even be a concern. You will never know you are on a ship the whole week.

I leave from Miami Aug 20th, talk about anxious!!!!!!!

I doubt she'll get seasick, unless she is VERY susceptible... the ships they use are big enough that unless the storm is very big, and she is easily sickened, there should not be a worry. That, and the path they take up the Inside Passage is mostly sheltered by islands and such.

It's a beautiful trip... I've never been on the cruise, but I have been in that area. Even did a 2 week kayak trip around Juneau. Even on a bad weather day, it's gorgeous!

You should have a great time... how far up are you going?

I took that same cruise 2 years ago (25th anny) on the Celebrity Summit. Vancouver to Seward. Wasn't smoking cigars then, but had a veranda and figure I could have smoked there. No seasickness to worry about...never had more than 6 inch waves. I wanna go back...

I've never been on a cruise but I would love to go on one. The wife went on a couple before we were married. The thing that really bothers me(and keeps me from booking) is their alcohol price gouging. :/

I have been on Royal Carribean numerous times and I have yet to find price gouging on the alcohol. It's just about the same price if you were to go out to a bar.

We go as high as Sitka. Dock at Ketchikan,Juneau, and Sitka. We cruise the Hubbard Glacier, which should be beautiful. We took a royal suite. It's our way of celebrating her passing the big 50.
I enjoy my cigars especially when I am off,and am resigned to the aft deck,or my veranda, to enjoy my cigars.

Funny seeing this topic, I've currently got 2 other windows open right now searching for cruises! My wife's never been, and is about 98% convinced she'll hate it. I've been on a bunch, mostly when I was younger with the family, and am trying hard to convince the wife to try it! She's had several freinds and patients that have been recently and told her how much fun they had, so she told me to look into it and see what I could find...
