As Connie smokers know, Consuegra smokes are true seconds. That is, they are made by unidentified name-brand, premium, hand rolled cigar makers. Seconds are those sticks which fail to meet the makers standards - often the problem is cosmetic. Sometimes but not often, the smokes don't make the grade for functional reasons. Finally, productions overuns account for some bundles. These are perfect but unlabeled, full flavored Honduran cigars like Punch and Hoyo de Monterrey.
The first lists attempts to unveil the manufacturer of the Consuegra by keying in on the model number and the size. For example, if you like Punch, Hoya de Monterrey, or Rothschild, try the number 9s, a popular smoke on this forum.
Based on this list, I've ordered a bundle of #18s. I have no idea how accurate it really is but I plan to compare the #18 with the Punch After Dinner and find out. Will let you know. Maybe others here can provide comparative reports of the Connies versus the associated name cigars.
