We'll be flying in early to College Station tomorrow morning (Thursday the 25th) and staying till Sunday morning the 28th. I have to work the game and ensure that the Cadets & the Generals are where they are suppose to be and they get there safely. We're staying at the Comfort Suites in College Station and I have found a cigar event that we will most likely attend:

Reyes Family Cigar Event
Texas Avenue Cigars
1800 Texas Avenue S
College Station, TX 77840
All Day
September 26, 2008

If there is a better shop to check out that anyone knows of or wants to meet up for a cigar or two, let me know. We don't have out entire itinerary as of yet but I know that we'll have some free time Thursday, Friday and after the game on Saturday. Hope to see a few of you Texas S/BOTL that are in the area if at all possible........ :)

Charlie,

I will be working the event, as an employee of the shop. There will also be 3 or 4 other occasionally active Cigar Pass members in attendance. The event isn't necessarily all day, as Jose will not arrive until around 4pm. 4pm - close though is still a good 6 hours. The shop doesn't open until 11am, just a friendly reminder.

If you just ask for Jake, I'll be there from 2pm until well after the event. Glad to see you will be coming!

Jake, it's good to hear from you and thanks for the information. I'll be sure to stop by at least once or twice or when ever we get some free time between meetings and such. I'll PM you me cell phone info after I finish this post so we can make contact. See you soon....... :)

Army versus Aggie? Isn't that like playing with yourself?

Bruce, I almost spit my coffee out laughing so hard.

It was good seeing you last night Jake, my buddy Joe thought that your big card table was cool as hell in the middle of the shop. We'll be by this afternoon later on after our meetings and stuff....... :)

Good to see you guys two nights in a row, Charlie. It was nice and coincidental that we had Jose from Reyes out there, you guys are undoubtedly in town at the best time. Give me a call tomorrow after the game, so that we may go grab us some of those Nortenos Breakfast Tacos. I may be a bit hoarse from too mush smoking though.... :sign:

Enjoy the Shiner and pool side stogies, we'll see you gents tomorrow.

Wish I could be there with you guys. GIG'EM AGGIES from Class '69

Sounds like everyone is having a great time.

Be safe on your trip, Charlie.

Too bad that you can't get any Arnold's BBQ anymore.

Maybe you should get yourself fitted for a pair of Senior boots

Regards to all in Aggieland

Lou

I just want to say that we had a great time in Aggieland and the 4 days down there were great. We definitely had our share of good Texas BBQ and enjoyed a number of cold Shiner Bocks. It was great to see Jose and be able to spend time herfing with Jake and all the A&M brothers. We finished off our trip with an evening at the Dickie Chicken suckin' suds and playing pool. The next you all are up in the New York area it's our treat........ :)

Glad you guys enjoyed the Texas culture, food and booze. Ever find those Shiner cans? It's the "Dixie Chicken" not "Dickie" lol. That place is full of Aggie tradition, and it's nice to hear you guys got a chance to experience that small country town bar atmosphere.

It was great meeting you and Joe, hopefully it won't be our last meeting. Fine BOTL's indeed.

By the way, my voice and mouth finally recovered from that mammoth cigar! 2 days later, lol.

I will let you guys know if I'm ever up that way again. Next time Army plays A&M, hopefully we can meet up for a smoke again, wherever it may be. Thanks for the great discussion, glad you guys had a good time!

Talked to Charlie at Schlesinger's Steak House & Cigar Bar last night and it was clear that you guys had an absolute blast.

He really loved the Dixie Chicken and those Shiner Bock beers

BigJake, are we going to see some pics of you guys smoking those monster cigars ? Please tell me that somebody snapped a few photos. :D :D
