College Hockey Fans

The coach of MTU has his boys playing well, Kangas was a stud yesterday in getting that shutout. I think that MTU will pull off a number of wins this year against better teams in the league, unless they start getting down on themselves.

As far as inconsistancy, it's hard to remember that some of these kids are just out of high school, isn't it?

I don't mind the guys right out of HS struggling. It's the guys that played at least a year or two of Juniors that look like they should still be in HS half the time that bug me. It's the guys that have been on the roster for a year or two that are the most inconsistent.

I hope the younger guys can improve a lot more than the upperclassmen have. I guess it all comes down to coaching, doesn't it? :whistling:

All the young guys that were worth a hoot the last 3 years are in the NHL now. That bugs me, but it's part of the deal, I guess.

Probably means we get swept in Denver this weekend. I'll be driving through, on the way to MN. They still have tickets for sale. :cool:
 
The Bulldogs looked pretty good Saturday night. 3 points on the weekend is not a bad showing at all. ND certainly has some horses. Their goaltender made some great stops, as well. Saturday night was the best game UMD has played all year.
 
The UMD goalie was unbelievable on sat night! One of the more impressive displays I've seen in awhile. Friday night the Bulldigs lucked out getting a tie. A very greasy goal with 2 minutes or so left :angry: I can admit it though, my team is pretty mediocre this season. I just hope they can somehow sneak into the top 5 of the conference to get that home playoff series. (I have tickets that I want to use!)


Someone needs to explain to me how Derek Shepard is allowed to ref college hockey games. The guy is the absolute worst I have ever seen!

We've been saying that for 5 years over here. I can't believe some of the calls he makes (and doesn't make).
 
Shepard is universally hated in ND! I guess if you are a Goofer fan you might like him but aside from that he is just terrible!

After that playoff game last yr in Mankato I wonder if he can even set foot in that town anymore out of fear for his life!
 
What happened to the #1 Goophers last night? They looked like a Jr. team playing against Michigan. I couldn't believe my eyes...
 
Gee.....wonder why? Go Terriers! Hoping to get tickets to the Frozen Four this season....I live just outside DC and am a BU alumni.....also past Supervisor of Officials for USA Hockey in the NOVA area and a NIHOA certified official
