You might as well have made a post about religion or politics!
We are season ticket holders for the UMD Bulldogs. Hoping they'll be better than last year, but I'm not all that optimistic as long as we have Sandelin as coach.
Hard to argue against the strength of the WCHA!
Have been a Sioux season ticket holder for years. If you folks have never been to the new 'Ralph' it's definitely worth the price of admission! (get to see some pretty good hockey too!!!)
Guck the Fophers  :whistling:   . Those are fun games, but we don't take the boy to the Gopher, Badger, or Sioux games. There aren't a lot of good examples of sportsmanship on the ice or in the stands. :laugh:You might as well have made a post about religion or politics!

Best part of those tickets would be when you get to watch the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers play :sign:  except they're not playing in Duluth this year.
I check United States College Hockey Online daily, during the season. WCHA is the best conference, imho.

Yeah, but I'm thinking that I don't want to leave Vegas to travel to ND in January or February(or Oct/Nov/Dec/March).
First day of practice for the Gophers is today.
I live in western ND and we have a much different climate then the red river valley in the east. I can't think of to many places where the weather pretty much sucks all year long except for 2 months in the fall but eastern ND is one of them. Hot and humid in the summer and colder then a witches tit in the winter.

You can say that again - my wife's from Winnipeg. We Canadians call it Winter-peg for a reason.
Worst winter story, though, is from Montreal. I was walking to work in a cold snap (I'm Canadian, OK), and I had a pair of boots with PVC soles, Blundstones from Australia, on. It was so cold that the PVC sole cracked.
As for US college hockey, I have to support the Fighting Irish. Went to a lot of games last year.
I have a similar story. Mid 90's it wa so cold out I took a warm glass of tap water and threw it up in the air and it instantly crytalized! The weather guy on TV was doing it and I thought it was BS so I tried it. He was right!
