I figured that since the was another thread on the Secretos, I would post my first review, and tell you guys what a noob got from this smoke.
I would upload a pic but since there have beeen others posted on the other thread, I dont see the need. Anyway here it goes...

COHIBA MADURO 5 SECRETOS

Orgin: ISOM

Size: 110 mm / Ring: 40

Hand Made

Strength: Medium - Full

Appearence: 10/10. Very dark wrapper. Had a few viens running down its length.

Construction: 10/10. Perfect appearence, no flaws. Draw was perfect.

First 3rd: Very peppery. I was also able to pick up some woody/cedar flavors.

Second 3rd: Pepper was still very present. The wood flavor toned down a bit, and I seemed to get some chocolate and leather taste.

Final 3rd: Pepper began to dominate. Still small hints of leather. It began to burn hot, so I had to let it rest a bit before I nubbed it.

Overall: 9/10. The smoke was very flavorful. I enjoyed the flavors that were present, yet the pepper seemed to overpower the others at various points. I enjoyed the strenght until it went to far...felt a good buzz as I was finishing, yet right after the cigar kicked me in the butt. I sat on the couch for about an hour and felt horrible haha. It is deff not a noob smoke, and I sorta wish that I would have saved it. I plan on letting the other 2 I have sit for a long time, and I think I agree with others on the idea of these being very young cigars. Hopefully the pepper will mellow out after some rest. It was a great smoke, and I am excited to have the other 2 resting and waiting for me to pick them up in a few years.

...and nothing makes this smoke better, except a good dose of cowbell!

I'll have to get my hands of one of these. Haven't tried the maduro genre.

Hahahahaha I think everything is better with some cowbell.

Next review I do, I will take and upload the pictures.

Thanks for reading guys.

Great review of a tasty gar! I just had one yesterday and had a similar experience. A nubber.

But I also don't consider it a favorite in that size OR a very good value at that price point. I enjoy many less expensive CCs at about this size. (The name is also the size - secretos!) A tad smaller in length is the perla and the Trini Reyes and Siglo I are two examples I like more and I think are a better value, too.

But we still don't know what time may do to the Secretos as they haven't been out long enough yet. Who knows? They may age extremely well ... or not. :)

Nice review. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but still do find myself surprised when I expereince or see a small cigar like the Secretos just kick arse. The small sticks which oen would expect to be light are often stronger than many Churchills. Just goes to show that the old adage of not being able to judge a book by its cover holds true with cigars as well.
