Just bought a sealed Cohiba 30th anniversary piramides porsalin jar. All labels, bands ect are 100%. The bands are identicle to the Siglo V 30th anniversary bands in every way and to be honest the cigars them selves are fantastic. I own a full 6' humidor of cubans so I'm a pretty good judge of legit sticks but I just cant find any record od 30th anniversary piramides being made. I have found in the past that this is not always true and many special and LE cigars are not listed on most sites. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check MMM's thread here: http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/index.php?...opic=14131&st=0, but all I saw was the milleneum edition jars, not the 30th (or 35th) anniversary. You might take pictures and post them.

Yes, I have checked quite a few lists and sites but non could be found. But them the 30th siglo Vs are real and I only found those on one or two sites. Just smoked another and if they are fakes they are the best one's I've had. I could only think they could be Cohiba piramides with wrong bands but then the porcelain humidor is PERFECT, right down to the markings, serial # and lot # on the bottom. Stange.

Great to find a board like this. Hi ALL!

Never offcially made and if it doesn't say Bidasoa on the bottom of the jar, it's not real. I've seen a lot of fake 30th & 35th Anniversary Cohibas, some in jars and some in boxes.

Bottom had a reef with "BIDASOA" in the center.
"HABANOS" below that and
Below that says "Spain" and below that what looks like"PADA"

Then " SERIE LIMITADA" and under that
0347 / 1,000

Between the box, papers, humidor and cigars, if it's a fake someone went to one hell of a lotta trouble to make this.

I think you need to send me one to sample so I can tell you whether they are fake or not. I'll be the judge!!! :whistling:

We'll I'm friends with the connect I got them from so I have no problem returning them if they are suspect. He told me 30ths were sold in these 1000 limited jars in a few sizes as the millenniums were. I will shoot one out to the member with the best credentials. Please be an expert on cohibas if there is such a thing.

Is the place you purchased this jar out of from Montreal, Canada? They never made the 30th Cohiba Jar in the piramide format....

My connect gets them from all over. Some he brings back him self or with friends.

I agree, I can not find that this format was made in a piramide. I guess I will return them on principle but they are pretty good. Where in LA are you? I'll let you try one. I regularly smoke the robustos, Siglo VI and Sublimes and these are a little lighter than those but from the reviews of the other 30ths that seems in line. Oh well. javascript:emoticon(';)')

Lots of fakes out there... Kartik is spot-on here.

Being a Cohiba whore, I think I would have seen this somewhere over the last few years. Believe it or not, people go to great lengths to counterfeit these things, especially the ones that demand a very high premium price.

If this is true...why bother returning them?

Very true... also suspicious of the "connect" who gets them from various sources and offers a 100% money back guarantee.

I've seen fake 35th piramide jars, fake CoRo Millenium jars, and a couple of others that I cant remember off the top of my head right now.

Most of those fakes can be found on (cubancigarsonline ??)...

Well the connect I got the 30ths from is new and he said if I want I can bring them back. So I will. I actually traded a box of RASS and Montecristo LE Robustos for them so I'll just get my sticks back. No biggie.
