Well good Karma finally. Not only did the first guy lose out but the second too. And then we find out Doug has been a great player and a generous player too. Cook is sending my smokes since the first guy is getting them but I'm going to get a new batch to Doug also.
 
It's great to see that things worked out. I thought Michael would keep everything as is and let it blow over.

The only thing that sucks is I thought I finally had an out for those damn Thompson cigars I bought a while back.

I hope you indeed have access the this thread. I can't think of a more fitting person for this to happen to, you go through life lying, cheating and scamming people and when something good comes your way like a win in CigarPool, it slips through your fingers :0 I can guarantee you that if you had not behaved the way you did, your win would have stood AND even if someone else (other than one of the fine members of CigarPass) noticed you had missed the registration deadline by a few hours, you would have had 44 people coming to your defense (because this has happened before but no one complained and it wound up being overlooked ;) ) rather than all of us raising the point with Mr. Cook that you broke the rules and therefore should be declared ineligible to win.

Just as the sticks were fermenting in the backyard for GL, I find out the Doug gets the win. Maybe I'll send the rockets anyway to GL.

Glad to see dselsor is lurking :D and glad to see a wrong has been "righted" over at cigarpool.

Also I'm glad I rush out to send GL his 'gars. Now I'll be able to ship off sumtin special to mr. selsor.
 
Just to set the record straight, I have won before, back in April, 2001. So it's not like I've never won -- just not for awhile. And if I remember correctly, I don't believe 07 was the original winning number back then. Some people had dropped out of the pool, and there were one or two open numbers. One of the open numbers was selected, and since it was unassigned, 07 won as the backup. I picked up the second number, 94, a short while later. So in three and a half years or so, neither 07 nor 94 have won. No big deal, though, as I seem to be better at accumulating cigars than smoking them. 120 quart Igloos for 39.99 should be outlawed. ;) When I first joined the pool, I decided I had to send more than one to the winner, because it didn't seem worthwhile to spend $3 to mail a single. So I decided to send 3 each time. Then, when I picked up the second number, I started sending 6, then for some reason that I don't remember, I've been sending out 7 for the last couple of years. Anyway, I've had fun just participating.

April of 2001 was a LOOOOOOOONG time ago :0 so other than Jim Podlich, you probably had the longest spell without a win. Jim's been in since June of 1999 with one number that has not come up since he's been in.

Latest Update.....While surfing the CigarPool site today, I noticed there is a new inhabitant of the #47 Spot. It would appear that Steven has decided to cut his losses and has DROPPED OUT of the pool, or perhaps drowned in it?

The new #47 is a Mr.Don Parker of New York.

LMFAO, I wonder why he quit? He had the luckiest number going (47) which has come up FIVE times in the past five years. The sad thing is that means he'll stiff Doug Selsor this week :angry:
